Mortgage Customers prefer Mortgage Brokers
Mortgage customer are more likely to have found their lender through a mortgage broker than through any other method says a new reports by Mortgage Broker .co.uk. The report which surveyed hundreds of customers found that in 53% of cases the customers had sourced their mortgage through a qualified mortgage broker.

Despite this a significant proportion had found their mortgage lender after doing their own research. Piers Morgan from Mortgage Broker .co.uk said "It is surprising that when it comes to making what for most people will be the most important financial decision of their lives that some people choose not to speak to a qualified mortgage professional about which is the best deal for their specific circumstances".

Other methods for choosing a lender ranged from using their current bankers to responding to a lenders newspaper advertisement. Surprisingly 1% of respondents said that they choose their current employer to find a lender.
